Scot Slaby writes limericks, sonnets, and other poems in
verse, not all of which are about bugs. His chapbook, The
Cards We’ve Drawn, won the 2013 Bright Hill Press At Hand
Chapbook Competition, and his poems have been published in
anthologies, literary magazines, and even a reference book.
He teaches at Shanghai American School in Shanghai, China,
where he lives with his wife and children.
Walter Gurbo is probably best known for his “DRAWING
ROOM,” featured for twelve years on the back cover of New
York’s Village Voice as well as The Chicago Reader. His work
has also appeared regularly in The New York Times, Playboy,
Ms., New York Magazine, Atlantic Monthly, and in various
newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals. Galleries in
New York and Japan exhibit his paintings and sculpture, and
he has designed sets for Theatre for the New City (TNC) and
murals for the Halloween Ball. In 2013 he began reviving
“DRAWING ROOM” on Facebook as a daily feature,
completing almost two thousand of his whimsical and surrealist
drawings and still going strong.
